IHG One Rewards is running a "Pick Your Points" promotion through August 31, 2026. Members choose one of two bonus tracks and register for it — you can't do both, and you can't switch once you've picked: 2,000 bonus points for every two qualifying nights, or 8,000 bonus points for every four qualifying nights, with no cap on how many times you can earn it. If you're already going to be racking up nights at an IHG property before the end of August, this is free points for doing what you were doing anyway.
The catch that trips people up: you have to register before you stay. Nights booked before you sign up don't count toward the bonus even if they fall inside the promo window, so register first if you want credit for anything. A qualifying night needs a Qualifying Rate and at least $30 in spend per night, and stays booked through Reward Nights, Points & Cash, or third-party sites like Expedia or Booking.com don't qualify. The bonus points also don't count toward Elite status — this is a points play, not a status play.
